Machine Learning Engineer
ObjectStyle is a provider of open source solutions and commercial software development services. We are a major driving force behind such projects as Apache Cayenne – a powerful ORM framework, Bootique.io – a container-less Java app launcher, LinkRest – a model-driven REST engine, and a number of others. Our clients are located in the US, Australia, and EU. We work with the National Hockey League, Wikipedia, and other great companies.
Lucidworks – one of our key clients – is the commercial company behind Apache Lucene/Solr, the world’s leading open-source search platform. These cutting-edge technologies power critical search apps at thousands of businesses worldwide both large and small – including Netflix, IBM, Twitter, LinkedIn, and dozens of other household names. Team is currently building the new generation of cloud search product – Springboard.
Currently, we’re searching for a talented ML/DS engineer with hands on coding experience to join the Lucidworks team. This role would focus on work that falls between those two groups – somewhere between a machine learning engineer and a data engineer. In terms of technology stack, we are using Python, PyTorch, ClearML, Seldon, Argo, Vespa, Docker and Kubernetes, and Google Cloud.

Things we seek:
- 3+ years of professional R&D experience
- Strong CS skills, ability to write efficient and easy to understand code in Python
- Good knowledge of the common DS and NLP libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and transformers
- Upper-Intermediate English
Nice to have:
- Experience with the DL frameworks: PyTorch or Keras/Tensorflow (PyTorch strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with microservices and cloud technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Vector databases (NNS)
